We are now expanding our marketing team and hiring an experienced Content Marketing Manager to help us keep growing and telling our unique story. The Role:

WorkStep is looking for a creative and organized Content Marketing Manager to lead the brand’s content strategy and execution across all channels and touch points. In this position, you will be a key member of the marketing team, reporting directly to the VP of Marketing. You will be working in close partnership with key stakeholders across the business to oversee the curation, creation and management of WorkStep’s messaging. As an ideal candidate you must be skilled in the ideation and creation of innovative, engaging content and storytelling.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and holistically develop our overall content strategy and unique voice across all channels
  • Articulate our unique brand narrative and point of view (POV) that supports campaign creation, website content, and revenue KPI’s
  • Ensure a uniform and inspiring experience across all channels
  • Ideate, develop, and curate compelling content that can live as articles, video, social and email campaigns, in addition to editorial articles to support the business growth KPIs
  • Strategize, plan, and manage the monthly and quarterly content calendars across Digital and Social channels; Align and support website, campaign, brand and product marketing which portrays an engaging and timely narrative, flow smoothly and brings to life our evolving product/brand offering
  • Work cross-functionally to manage the end-to-end process of bringing all content to life
  • Manage and develop copy for all marketing initiatives and campaigns
  • Consistently use metrics to validate creative decisions, brand partnerships and drive engagement

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or equivalent
  • 3-5 years content management experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment
  • Creative, innovative and strategic thinker
  • An intuition for the type of content that engages on digital and social channels. You understand what’s going to make our audience engage, while upholding the aesthetic of the WorkStep brand
  • Expertise with using SEO best practices to write creative copy that includes effective keyword placement
  • Experience with social media engagement strategies and best practices
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects in a deadline driven environment; able to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced business
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively

KPIs Owned:

  • Website – unique page visits, total number of downloads, shares, interactions
  • Lead generation – influence, conversion rates, followers, subscribers
  • Growth – subscribers, followers, brand recognition, thought leaders

Bonus Points:

  • Experience marketing SaaS solutions to the HR Tech or staffing industry
  • Supply Chain industry experience
  • Experience working with (or in) our primary industries: Warehousing, trucking, manufacturing and production
  • Familiarity with our core Martech stack – Salesforce, WordPress, Hubspot, Zoominfo, Slack, Adobe suite
