This is a per diem position.

Position Highlights:

• Perfect for a nurse with a passion for vascular access: placing and maintaining a variety of lines as well as participating in infection prevention measures, with a focus on safety & quality outcomes.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain same in a timely fashion, required
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, preferred
• At least 2 years of RN Acute Care experience, preferred
• VA-BC (Vascular Access Board Certified) certification, preferred
• Excellent teamwork, communication and collaboration skills
• Proven and demonstrated autonomous critical thinking skills

Job Description:

Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.

Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

Evaluates learning needs ofpatient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Effectively delegates patient careto ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.
