Job Summary:
MaineGeneral Health is presently seeking an experienced, goal-oriented, Project Manager to join our IT Project Management Office. Our ideal candidate is someone with solid IT project management experience, ideally in healthcare environments. A demonstrated track record of working as a lead PM on IT projects is critical to this position.

What You Bring to the team?

A proven project management background with a track record of leading change in complex environments.

A solid understanding of PMBOK principles, exposure to a variety of tools and techniques, and the ability to move into this key role quickly and make an immediate impact.

What You Will Do?

Lead projects as the sole Project Manager, as well as work on larger projects involving several PMs, while always being part of the PMO team.

Be a key player in re-vitalizing our IT Department, helping us execute our strategic plans and initiatives.

The selected candidate will work with a team of nearly 100 IT professionals and a customer base of over 4,500 people, in an environment where investing in technology and working as a team are priorities. We are looking for project managers who are leaders, are comfortable with change, have exceptional people skills, and strive for excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

Exhibits advanced level knowledge and experience to manage large scale and complex projects.
Develops project scope, deliverables, and plan in alignment with project and organizational objectives.
Manages project implementation and applies independent judgement to achieve project goals while controlling resources, risks, conflicts, timelines and costs.
Identifies, secures, and coordinates the resources necessary for project success.
Manages project team members. Serves as a mentor and facilitates conflict resolution.
Effectively leads teams, operating independently and collaboratively with all levels of organizational leadership.

The ideal candidate will have:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Management, Health Administration or related field preferred.
5+ years of project management experience preferred.
Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute preferred.
