Overview
The Department of Agricultural Economics at the University of Kentucky seeks a Post Doctoral Scholar who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and publishing research related to the economics of agricultural production under the direction of Drs. Nicholas Pates and Tyler Mark. Opportunities for undergraduate teaching may also be available depending on departmental needs. Required qualifications consist of a Ph.D. in agricultural economics or a closely related field; strong written and verbal communication skills; knowledge of agricultural crop production; and expertise in geospatial analysis, econometric and simulation modeling; and the preparation of publication-quality research manuscripts. This is a temporary position extending for one year from the date of hire. Reappointment may be possible but is contingent upon funding availability and departmental need.
