Pharmacist Clinical Staff/UKHC

Provides general pharmacy support for phase 1 and complicated phase 2 clinical oncology trials within the Precision Medicine Center service. Collaborates with the Investigational Drug Service team and Chemo Compounding Pharmacy to provide a safe, efficient, and compliant drug distribution process for early phase clinical trials. Educates nursing staff and and patients on each clinical trial, as applicable. Reviews patient demographics, medication lists, laboratory results and supportive care needs to optimize medication therapy. Tests and supports the build of oncology research order sets within the EHR. Collaborates with Markey and Research leadership to facilitate the implementation of Precision Medicine oncology therapies.
