Job Summary:
At MaineGeneral Medical Center’s Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care we care for more than 12 percent of Maine’s cancer population and see more than 7,000 individuals with a cancer diagnosis annually, including more than 1,100 newly diagnosed cases. Now is a great time to join our organization. The Senior Leadership Team is looking forward to expanding their operations and continue growing and we are adding on to our Oncology Health Information Management team to support these efforts.

This position reports directly to the Manager of Oncology Services who loves to develop her team and foster an atmosphere of excellence and engagement. We are currently seeking a highly experienced CTR to work as our Lead Analyst and provide guidance and support to our team of incredibly talented and dedicated CTRs and support professionals.

Job Description:
Assists with the development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental policies and procedures.
Provides mentoring, monitoring, coaching, and evaluation of team members’ performance, especially in the areas of productivity and quality management. Serves as a positive role model for team members by working with them to promote teamwork and cooperation.
Assists with coordinating services, prioritizing assignments and workflow, and promoting situational decision-making/problem solving.
Takes responsibility for, or provides guidance to team members on, the handling of complex or novel issues.
In addition to providing coaching and support this individual performs responsibilities of underlying job including their own cue of abstractions.

The Ideal Candidate will have: 

Certified as a Tumor Registrar (CTR) by the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA) required.
Certified as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) by the American Health Information Management Association preferred.
5-10 years of relevant experience. 
Advanced knowledge on Commission of Cancer Standards Ability to teach and coach virtually! 
Must have strong internet capabilities and connection.
