At Hotjar, we’re building Behavior Analytics software for businesses selling online. We make it easy for them to go beyond traditional web analytics and understand what users are really doing on their site.
Reporting to our Director of People, we’re looking for a People Operations Manager who can build and manage our people processes. Collaborating with our leadership team and the wider operations department, you will design processes that enable our team to focus on the work they are hired to do. We want our team to be wowed at each touchpoint, and the Hotjar values should be evident throughout our processes and communications.
This is a unique opportunity to build a People Operations team within an already successful and proven start-up as it continues to grow and evolve. Your team will need to grow quickly over the coming 18 months to support the organization as it scales.
You will:
  • Use your ability to quickly develop trust to gain an understanding of the challenges facing our team and their leaders.
  • Use these insights to design solutions, draft actionable proposals and manage implementations.
  • Own and manage the processes supporting Team Members through Contracting, Onboarding, Probation, Life events, Job changes, and Offboarding, ensuring each process iteration balances efficiency with a ‘wow’ team member experience
  • Collaborate with our People team, and wider Operations Department to ensure the processes you own are compliant and effective, whilst being efficient.
  • Build, coach, and develop a lean and efficient People Operations team.
  • Experience in a Senior People Operations role; with demonstrated experience collaborating across functions, and managing and leading people
  • Experience working in tech companies, start-ups or scale-ups, and a preference for an environment sharing similar core values
  • Proven project and program management skills
  • Experience implementing and scaling people processes, operations, and systems
  • You highlight risks and proactively suggest risk management strategies
  • Desire to work in a respectful, transparent, and collaborative work environment, following Hotjar’s company values, culture and ways of working.
  • Must submit to a background check confidentially processed by our third-party.
Compensation Range
The compensation range for this role is €65,000 to €95,000 annually. This was established after performing market research and is aligned with our approach to compensation.
