We currently have a full-time opening for a Community Programs Coordinator in the Community Health Department. The Community Health Department, through the support of the Peter Alfond Endowment, promotes the optimal health and well-being of residents in central Maine by offering accessible and holistic health promotion and disease prevention programs.
The Community Programs Coordinator will serve as the content expert for implementing healthy mind body programming to support improved health among residents in central Maine. The ideal candidate will facilitate classes, oversee daily operations related to the programs, and provide guidance and support to contracted instructors.
Implement project work plan.
Prioritizes multiple tasks and projects to ensure timely completion
Provide feedback on project activities to health education team and department leadership.
Recruit and enroll eligible patients and community members.
Facilitates classes to patients and the community.
Maintain and develop data collection tools, track data, visualize data, assist data analyst with their work.
Participate in program evaluation requirements.
Disseminate results of Healthy Living Programs.
Other duties, as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor of Science in Community Health, Public Health, or related field
Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in public health/health care
Project management/implementation experience
Excellent and demonstrated communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
