Overview

The University of Kentucky Active Women’s Health Initiative is seeking to fill two student positions to support a newly created Movement Mentors volunteer program that is housed within the College of Health Sciences. The Movement Mentors will participate in volunteer activities to improve health outcomes among youth in the community.

Position responsibilities across the 2021-22 academic year include: recruiting volunteers for the program from the university community, planning the beginning and end of year events, coordinating and recording volunteer training and sign-ups, tracking volunteer hours, communicating event plans to community partners, assisting with evaluation of the program, participating in community-based programs, and other duties as assigned by supervisor. Hours vary weekly and range from 5 – 10 hours per week. Flexible schedule.
