Overview
Job Specific:
Clean and disinfect all areas as designated and scheduled per shift, with attention to high traffic areas and high visibility areas. (EF)
Use appropriate chemicals and cleaning agents on appropriate surfaces to include glass, tile, carpet, showers, counter tops, walking track, hardwood floors, sinks, toilets, sauna’s, etc. (EF)
Insure all infection control practices are maintained at all times. (EF)
Assist in other departments and areas as needed.
Perform open and closing duties.
Work in the laundry room as directed and needed to wash, dry, fold and replace linen. (EF)
Replace paper goods to include toilet tissue, paper towels, and replace shower soap as needed. (EF)
Empty trash throughout the facility, as scheduled and needed. (EF)
Assist members in the locker rooms as needed. (EF)
Report any member, facility or equipment issues to supervisor or appropriate staff person. (EF)
Perform other duties as assigned
Hospital:
Adheres to organization-wide and other applicable policies and procedures.
Day-to-day performance complies with the hospital’s Service Excellence Behavioral Expectations.
Performs within the prescribed limits of the hospital’s Ethics, Compliance and Confidentiality Program guidelines.
Performs within his/her professional Scope of Practice at all times.
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Required: None
Preferred: High School diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE
Required: 1 year experience in service related industry
Preferred: 1+ year experience in custodial work
Special Skills and Abilities:
Required: Attention to detail. Able to follow instructions. Able to interact and communicate with the public.

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Required: AHA HeartSaver First Aid/CPR/AED (Adult and Infant) within 90 days of hire. Red Cross Basic Water Safety within 6 months of hire.
